Did the participant in this spelling bee make honey?

I would bet Jeff Foxworthy would characterize the author of this sign was most likely not smarter than a fifth grader. But what’s worse, the person who ordered this sign, or the person who printed it? Perhaps an elocutionist could argue that the “S” should be silent and not pronounced. But I’m guessing that wouldn’t pass muster either. But it begs noticing for the mere fact that some folks here may have missed their readin’ and writin’ classes. Oh, and rithmetic’, as someone else authorized and paid for this! No, the spelling bee does not make honey! Two of my favorite sayings are:
“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.” -Albert Einstein
“Never argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” -Mark Twain
