Old habits are hard to break.
Yes, I’m guilty of leaving the television on while putzing around the coach. On occasion, I’ve had more than one television playing while doing laundry in the back and not hear a knock on the door. By the time I heard a second knock, the individual might be thinking no one was home.
Chimes are easier to hear
I mentioned this to my spouse and he suggested we go hunting for a wireless doorbell. Yes, that trek again to Homeless Depot or big box store. We talked about the wireless kind with a camera and decided against it. We concluded simple was better. We acquired a small doorbell kit with speaker/receiver that required a 120v electrical outlet. No biggie. The most logical place for us was to plug the receiver into our entryway outlet. That outlet had the standard two plugs, but the doorbell receiver took up the entire outlet space leaving us no place to plug in our dashboard lamp.
Dilemma solved.
We solved this issue by acquiring this movable six-outlet device online. The big advantage is the 90-degree swivel capability rendering a slim profile so any cord plugged in can be kept against the wall, behind furniture or out of the way of foot traffic. After Amazon.com: Globe Electric 7732001 6-Outlet Space Saver Swivel Surge Protector Wall Adapter Tap, Grounded Outlets, White Finish : Home & Kitchen installing, we still have ample electrical outlets in the front of our coach to plug in two more devices if we so choose – . We started with two, ended with six and have a selection of chimes to boot!
